Hatchimal

Parents can rejoice now as Hatchimals, the part-Furby/part-Tamagotchi toys that have been so popular this holiday season will soon be available at Wal-Mart.

The America’s largest retailer has recently announced that about 1,700 of its stores will be offering this mega-popular toy — an animal that hatches from an egg to be raised by the owner. There will be plenty of Hatchimals at the price of $48.88 at each of those stores, without any limit per customer.

Hatchimals have been highly demanded lately. Dozens of parents have been spotted in queues at Toys R Us each time a new shipment of these cute toys arrives. The specialty toy retailer even had to set a limit of one toy per person when a new batch came on the weekend. Although that shipment was immediately sold Toys R Us is expected to receive more of the hottest toy of the season through Christmas. At Toys R Us a Hatchimal costs $59.99.

On Sunday, Dec. 11Target also has reported about its plans to restock the toy on Sunday, Dec. 11. The retailer will sell it for $59.99, and set a limit of two items per shopper.

According to Adobe Digital Insights, Hatchimals top the list of highly demanded out-of-stock merchandise. And the arrival of each new shipment immediately attracts crowds of shoppers to the retailers’ physical stores. At Target com, Hatchimals are listed as available for sale at only some of its locations. These toys are out of stock on Walmart.com and are listed as available only in stores at Toys R Us stores.

But the good news is that Spin Master, the creator of Hatchimals, reported to have increased production so new arrivals of Hatchimals are expected to fill the shelved of the stores in early 2017.

But until then, customers will have to continue their Hatchimal hunt.
